Interim Executive Vice President for Administration and Finance, Chief Business Officer

Kimberly (Kim) Toatley, interim executive vice president for Administration and Finance and chief business officer for the Institute, provides strategic oversight of the Institute’s administration and financial operations. She has served Georgia Tech and Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) with over three decades of leadership in finance, accounting, and university operations. Her extensive expertise spans Uniform Guidance, Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, among other key financial and regulatory frameworks.

Recognized for her leadership and contributions to the field, Kim has received multiple prestigious awards, including Georgia Tech’s Distinguished Performance Awards for Outstanding Program Support, the Distinguished Mentor Award in Support Operations, and the Process Improvement Award. She was also a finalist for the Women in Technology’s Women of the Year in Mathematics Award. She is also a sought-after speaker on topics such as women’s leadership and resilience and has shared her insights as a guest on the GTRI Moving Forward podcast segment, Notable Women at Georgia Tech.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Strategic Management from Georgia State University.
